Subject: Kimmel, 6/15/07 = Resolution 169-07
Aloha,
1 have visited and worked in the Punalu'u area on and o£f over the last two decades. So
much of the incredible nature and beauty of Hawaii has been lost to luxury condo's,
hotels, mini-malls and homes.
We need more of Hawaii saved from development. There is no place like the Ka'u District
of Hawaii. I hope that the council will support saving this unique habitat for the people
of Ka'u and for the rare and endangered animals that live their and for all of us. We need
places like this in our world today.
I am in support of Hawaii County Resolution 169-07 that will protect critical habitat and
sacred sites at Punalu~u one of the last black sand beaches in Hawaii. This is one of
the very few, last remaining places, not developed into luxury housing or resorts. Please
support this Resolution to save this piece of the raw beauty That is hawai'i.
With our respect, Ken Kimmel
