It is truly one of the most special places on the Big Island. So much of the incredible nature and beauty of Hawaii has been blocked off, used up and filled with expensive luxury condo's, hotels, mini-malls and homes. We need more of Hawaii saved from development, saved for our children's joy and their children's. There is no place like Hawaii. I, only one voice of many, would hope that the council will support saving this unique habitat for the people of Ka'u and far the rare and endangered animals that live their and for all of us. We need places like this in our world today. I am in support of Hawaii County Resolution 169-07 that will protect critical habitat and sacred sites at Punalu' u one of the last black sand beaches in Hawaii. This is one of the very few, last remaining places, not developed into luxury housing or resorts. With continued hope and promise for the land, respectfully, Shawn Lasala-Kimmel 7701-18th Ave NW Seattle WA 98117 Phones: 206-789-6429/206-447-1895 Voting District: King County, WA Comm.
