Re: Operating Budget
The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice
Assistance Division has authorized a $31,790 Secure Digital Forensic Imaging Grant to
the Hawaii County Police Department. The grant's purpose is to improve the
department's ability to respond to violent crimes against women and to improve forensic
examination services provided to female victims of violent crimes island wide.
Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State
of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General for this grant.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
this $31,790 Secure Digital Forensic Imaging Grant.
