Subject: I support Resolution 169-07 to purchase 150 acres at Punalu'u. t„;;_;
Aloha!
I am asking that Resolution 169-70 to purchase 150 acres at Punalu'u be approved and given unanimous
support now, before it is too late. Too much shoreline development has been and is being allowed on
the West side of the Big Island, to the detriment of the environment and our quality of life. Steps must
be taken now to protect our natural resources for future generations, for the enjoyment of all. It is very
difficult to "undo" development and restore depleted resources.
I am not against development itself. It is our kuleana to ensure that all future development is done in a
culturally and ecologically sensitive way.
