Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Delbert Nishimoto of Council District 2 to the
County of Hawaii Veterans Advisory Committee. Mr. Nishimoto is a lifelong
resident of Hawaii. He is presently the East Hawaii field representative for
U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, From 1964 to 2001, he was a construction
inspector with the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works, Engineering
Division. Mr. Nishimoto is a board member of the American Heart Association-
East Hawaii and the Hawaii Shima Hiroshima Kenjin Kai. He is also a board
member on the AJA Council of the 442"d Veterans Association of Hawaii.
Mr. Nishimoto states that he is a Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term to
expire on December 31, 2011.
