From: Bob Welter [mailto:rlwelter@hialoha.netj Sent: Saturday, July 07, 2007 9:52 PM To: bjacobson@co.hawaii.hi.us Subject: Punalu'u park Resolution 169-07 Aloha Mr. Jacobson; I have read your letter on your plans for Punalu'u, you say the park will add to the beauty of the black sand beach, and that it will keep the area out of the hands for development and mis-use.. We have been wondering just how the county will keep this park in any better shape than it has the rest in the county. Also, where are all the jobs going to come from in Ka'u, when are the people down here going to see more of the of the counties support, when will OceanView see that long awaited water well, Post Office, school and other things that people on this Island enjoy. The people who have to drive to Kona or Hilo to work might just enjoy a closer place to work. Just where are you going to get the money and man power to maintain the 150 acre new park??? This project just seems to me to be another NO growth in Ka'u. .Sincerely Robert L. Welter & Doris Welter Comm. No. ~ R®f. Ta: ~ 4 GtT- Rof. Dote UL 10 7nat 7/10/2007
