Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Harris T. Hirata
of Hilo to the Hawaii County Hawaii Redevelopment Agency {HRA).
Mr. Hirata is a life-time resident of Hawaii and is the
Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Realty
Finance, Inc., a company he has served since 1973. He is
active in community affairs, having membership to the Hawaii
Island Chamber of Conunerce, the Hilo Rotary Club, the American
Financial Service Association and the Hawaii Financial Service
Association. He states that he has no affiliation to any
political party.
If approved, he will replace William T. Davis, who has
resigned, and will serve the balance of the unexpired term
which will end on December 31, 1999.
