Your Committee on Environmental Management, to which was referred Resolution No. 234-07.
reports as follows:
Resolution No. 234-07, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via
Communication No. 470, dated June 4, 2007, transmits a resolution authorizing the acceptance
of the sewage works constructed by Surf and Land LLC, and authorizing the reimbursement of
the partial cost for the sewage works.
The purpose of this resolution is to obtain Council approval of reimbursement to Surf and Land
LLC in the amount of $236,600.00, for the transfer of the sewage works system constructed by
Surf and Land LLC to the County to be maintained and operated as part of the public system.
Payment will be made for ten years after the completion of the extension at the rate of one-half
of all moneys collected for sewer charges collected by the County from other properties
connecting to the extension, provided the total reimbursement does not exceed the cost of the
sewer extension.
Your Committee on Environmental Management is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 234-07 and recommends its adoption.
