Re: Transmitting Bill 106, Draft 4, Relating to Affordable Rental Housing
Classification
I am submitting Bill 106, Draft 4, created by the amendment discussed and approved at olrr council
meeting on July 10, 2007, requiring a current market value evaluation and assessment prior to
classification.
Submitted here for your consideration is the following proposed amendment to Bill 106, Draft 4:
1. In Section 4, subsection (i), of the bill, a new number (2) has been added to read as follows:
No affordable rental housing classification shall be granted unless and
until a Hawaii County Real Property Tax Assessor evaluates the
Rroyerty and establishes its cun•ent market value.
The rest of the section has been renumbered.
A new draft of the bill that incorporates the proposed amendment is attached.
