RE: Bill 1 11, Draft 2 (Relating to an Ordinance Amending Section 25-8-33 (City of Hilo
Zone Map), Ar[icle 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005
Edition), by Changing the District Classification from Agricultural 1-acre (A-la) to
Multiple Family Residential - 4,000 square feet (RM-4) at Ponahawai, South Hilo,
Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key: 2-3-037:017.

Attached is Bill 111, Draft 2 that reflects an amendment to Bill 111, outlined in Communication No.
457.2 and duly approved at the Committee on Planning meeting on July 9, 2007.
The amendment adds a new Condition "H" under Section 2, setting forth a new required minimum
number of off-street parking spaces. The new Condition "H" reads as follows:
"H Notwithstanding Section 25-4-51(a)(5), the project shall provide a minimum of two
parking spaces for each dwelling unit plus one Guest parking space for each two dwelline units, or
the requirements of Section 25-4-51, whichever is greater. The minimum off-street parkine
spaces for this project shall initially be 20 spaces."
1'he old paragraphs numbered "H" through "R" have been renumbered as paragraphs "P' through "S,"
respectively.
