RESOLUTION NO. 264 0'7
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $5,700 TO THE
HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the employees of Metzler Contracting Co. LLC is donating $5,700 to the Hawaii County
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, these funds are to used for community-oriented events administered or sponsored by the
Police Department in the districts of North Kohala, South Kohala, and North Kona; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $5,700.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to the employees of Metzler
Contracting Co. LLC , c/o Mr. John Metzler, Managing Member/RME, P.O. Box 617,Kapa'au, Hawaii 96755,
acknowledging this generous donation.
