A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Happy Homes Subdivision in Kea`au was established in the late 1800's
during the sugar plantation era; and
WHEREAS, the Happy Homes community is currently landlocked with no public
access road into their subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the main entrance into the community is Momona Road, which is a private
road owned by several homeowners; and
WHEREAS, some homeowners have already expressed their intent to grant the County
permission to acquire their portion of the road, however, a title search is still needed to establish
all legal owners along Momona Road; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Public Works to perform a title search along Momona Road; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.33 Transfer to Cap Proj Fund-G $5,000

(To be allotted to Momona Road
Title Search)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
