Subject: Flood Management
We support the new language being proposed by Chair Pete Hoffmann and Council member Brenda
Ford (Bill 51, proposed Draft 5) which strengthens Chapter 27, Floodplain Management. We believe that
planning for at least a 25-year flood is essential to protect those of us who live on mountain slopes and
plains areas from erosion and mismanagement of lands on the upper slopes as well as natural
occurrences.
