RESOLUTION NO. 272 07
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Smart Signs will encourage drivers to drive the speed limit by alerting
them in real-time of their actual speed; and
WHEREAS, Smazt Signs not only reduce driving speeds, but also help to protect the
lives of motorists and pedestrians; and
WHEREAS, two (2) Smart Signs aze needed to control speeding in both directions on
North Kulani Road in Mountain View; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated
to the Department of Public Works for the purchase of two (2) Smart Signs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated asset forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $20,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.38 Department of Public Works $20,000
Transfer to Highway Fund

(To be allotted to North Kulani Rd.
Smart Signs)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forwazd a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
