RESOLUTION NO. 27~ 07
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, within the County Fire Department is the Hawaii Volunteer Fire
Department that train, equip, maintain and supervise a force of firefighters and emergency
services personnel; and
WHEREAS, in the event of a fire occurring at any place within the County, the head
of the Volunteer Fire Department shall place the personnel of this department under the
direction and control of the County Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the County may utilize the service of the personnel of the Volunteer Fire
Department to the fullest extent to aid in bringing such fire under control and to perform such
other duties as may be necessary to provide for the maximum safety of the inhabitants of the
area threatened by such conflagration; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated
to the County Fire Department to be used towards the purchase often (10) pagers for the
Hawaiian Paradise Park Volunteer Fire station; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Fire Chief and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
