RESOLUTION NO. 280 0'7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, the council wishes to support the recognition of our military men and
women who have defended our Country and fought for the freedom of each and every citizen of
this island, state and country; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Veterans Memorial, Inc., anon-profit 501(c)3
organization, in conjunction with the Department of Pazks and Recreation, is coordinating a
Veterans Day pazade on November 10, 2007, in Hilo, Hawaii, to honor and recognize the
veterans of our island, state and country; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Arts, to be granted to the Hawaii Island
Veterans Memorial, Inc. for the 151 annual Veterans Day Pazade; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5517.02 Depaztment of Parks and Recreation $1,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
