JUNE 2007
From Police Chief Lawrence K. Mahuna, dated June 29, 2007, transmitting the above
report of mission conducted on June 4 - 6, 2007 in East Hawaii and June 7 & 8, 2007
in West Hawaii, pursuant to Res. 46-01. The report indicates the number of plants
eradicated and the number of complaints received, the type of complaint and the
complaint disposition.

Comm. 520: APPOINTMENT OF DELBERT NISHIMOTO OF COUNCIL DISTRICT 2 TO THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII VETERANS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
From Mayor Harry Kim, dated June 29, 2007, submitting for confirmation the
appointment of Delbert Nishimoto of Council District 2 to the County of Hawaii
Veterans Advisory Committee. Mr. Nishimoto is a lifelong resident of Hawaii and is
currently the field representative for U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. A retired
construction inspector for the Department of Public Works, he is also a board member
of the AJA Council of the 442"d Veterans Association of Hawaii ,the American Heart
Association -East Hawaii and the Hawaii Shima Hiroshima Kenjin Kai. A member
of the Democratic party, if confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31,
2011.

Clerk's Office in Hilo at 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, Hawaii, 96720; (2) by facsimile to (808) 961-8912; or
(3) by e-mail to counciltestimony(a~co.hawaii.hi.us. Please submit separate testimony for each item.
For testimonies received via e-mail or fax, copies will be distributed at the meeting when transmitted in
a timely manner. All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record.
Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, §2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any
individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or
$275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative
action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15,
§2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code}. Registration forms and expenditure report documents are
available at the Office of the County Clerk-Council, 333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo.
