Comm. 526: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY (Res. 262-07) DONATION OF $500 TO THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT (donated by Wal-Mart Hilo)• and (Bill 128) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 07-82, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2008 (by appropriating $500 to the Fire Prevention -Other Current Expenses account) From Finance Director William Takaba, dated July 9, 2007, transmitting the above resolution and bill. These funds, donated by Wal-Mart Hilo through its "Safe Neighborhood Grant" program, will be used by the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) to establish and operate its Explorer program, a co-educational, young-adult program developed to provide an opportunity to explore a particular career field. The program is designed to educate young men and women in fire science, and expose them to the various HFD functions, including Fire Prevention and Fire Suppression, Rescue, Hazmat, and Emergency Medical Services. LLC); and (Bill 129) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 07-82, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2008 (by appropriating $1,900 each to the Police Departments in Kohala, Waimea and Kona -Other Current Expenses account) From Finance Director William Takaba, dated July 12, 2007, transmitting the above resolution and bill. Comm. 538: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE DIRECTOR OF (Res. 266-07) FINANCE TO NEGOTIATE ATHREE-YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT HILO, COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY, AND NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR THE USE OF 120 ACRES OF COUNTY LAND AT KOHOLALELE (TMK 4-2-5:001) IN PA`AUILO.
