Mr. Mench is a 14-year resident of Hawaii who is the present owner of the Harbor Gallery in Kawaihae. He is a member of the South Kohala Traffic Safety Committee, the Kawaihae Local Resource Council, the Superferry Advisory Board and a moderator with Hokuloa UCC. Mr. Mench states that he is not affiliated with any political party and will serve a term con-terminus with Mayor Kim.
