Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 117, reports as follows:
Bill No. 117, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 245-07 by Director of Finance William Takaba,
via Communication No. 497, dated June 26, 2007, amends Ordinance No. 07-82, as amended, the
Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2008. The amendment is as follows:

010.201.5216.22 Secure Digital Forensic Imaging General $31,790
The grant's purpose is to improve the Police Department's ability to respond to violent crimes against
women and to improve forensic examination services provided to female victims of violent crimes
island wide.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter,
the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for a Secure Digital
Forensic Imaging Grant.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 117, and
recommends it pass first reading.
