RESOLUTION NO. 283 0'7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, our veteran population is growing rapidly due to the turmoil in Iraq and
Afghanistan; and
WHEREAS, community volunteers and veterans from azound the Big Island aze working
together to organize the 15` Annual Veterans Day Parade, which will be held in Hilo, Hawaii on
November 10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the pazade route will start from Piopio Street, down to Waianuenue
Avenue, and will end at Bay Front soccer fields; and
WHEREAS, the Veterans Day Pazade will honor all veterans who have served and/or
continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the
Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Arts Division, to help defray expenses incurred
For the 15` Annual Veterans Day Pazade; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
