Dear Mr. Arakaki,
As you recall, Mayor Yamashiro vetoed the Waipio Peddling Restriction bill that was passed by
the Council. The Mayor vetoed the billed due to language concerns. He proposed acceptable
language in his veto message, and the amended version is attached utilizing his suggestion.
Please waive the attached bill to full Council as I see no reason to re-discuss the issue.

Re: Amendment to Chapter 22 of the Hawaii County Code
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to the attached, waiving said
referral from the Committee on Public Works & Parks in order that appropriate action
can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such waiver be
granted.
