SUBJECT: Alternative Housing Presentation
I'm writing to respectfully request time during the Sept. 5 Human Services and Economic
Development meeting in West Hawaii for Melissa Fletcher and Michael Barron with Yurts of
Hawaii to give ahalf--hour presentation on a type of alternative housing that is both legal and
economical.
According to Ms. Fletcher and Mr. Barron, a 706 square foot yurt can be purchased for
between $8,500 and $30,000, depending on the upgrades.
