The grant's purpose is to improve the department's ability to respond to violent crimes against women through ongoing specialized training for the Juvenile Aid Section detectives. Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General for this grant. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $39,865 Specialized Investigative Training Grant.
