Re: Operating Budget
The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice
Assistance Division has authorized a $39,865 Specialized Investigative Training Grant to
the Hawaii County Police Department. The grant's purpose is to improve the
department's ability to respond to violent crimes against women through ongoing
specialized training for the Juvenile Aid Section detectives.
Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State
of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General for this grant.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
this $39,865 Specialized Investigative Training Grant.
