Hawaii County Council
Hilo, Hawaii
Deaz Honorable Chair Yagong and Members,
The purpose of this letter is to express my enthusiastic support for the Kailua Village Business
Improvement District (KVBID).
Although new to Hawaii, more than 1200 communities nationwide are using improvement
districts to enhance their physical and economic vitality and improve their quality of life.
Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu are shining examples.
KVBID vision for a new and revitalized Kailua Village is in its charming physical beauty, strong
economic growth and a vibrant quality of life. We see travelers arriving in Kailua Village,
amazed by its beauty, by the plethora of activities and by the true sense of aloha everywhere.
KVBID will enhance every business and property in the azea, improved property values, create
through partnering a reduction in crime, cleaner, safer, more attractive resort destination, and
increase the number of folks using the district for a variety of purposes.
It is with sincere hope that this Council partners with KVBID to help fulfill its goal in
implementing creative solutions to improve cleanliness, attractiveness and economic vibrancy of
Kailua Village.
Sincerely,
Bazbaza J. o sow
