Final Report Highlights (copy of report available upon request): Program Objectives: Volunteer numbers: 1,000 Volunteer Hours: 140.000 Output: Volunteer numbers: 1,778 Volunteer Hours: 175,758 Community Need Objective: RSVP volunteers will help serve congregate and home delivered meals, or will work in support of programs providing elderly nutrition services, elderly transportation and/or social activities. An Area Agency on Agittg Pete Hoffmann, Council Chair August 7, 2007 Page 2 Community Need Obiective (con't) Objective: Volunteer Stations: 16 Volunteer numbers: 500 People Served: 1,200 Output: Volunteer Stations: 22 Volunteer numbers: 716 People Served: 1,963 Impact: Partially as a result of RSVP services, 1,200 elderly will remain independent during the grant year thereby avoiding premature institutionalization. This will be measured by the Hawaii County Nutrition Program (HCNP) Congregate Meals sign-in sheets and Home Delivered Meals delivery rosters. Outcome: Report from HCNP indicated that 153% or 1,841 elderly remained independent thereby avoiding premature institutionalization.
