RE: Water/Sewer fees
MESSAGE:
Dear Cart,
I read the article in today's West Hawaii Today about the sewer fees charged to individuals based on total
waur usage. I support your efforts to work out a reasonabL~ rate for sewage cosec.
One of my clients are about to hook up to the Alii Drive s:u•ar 1',ne and asked me to investigate an irrigation
water meter so that they would pay sewer fees on hotrsehold constunppon only..4ttached is Milton Pavans
response to our individual meter request.
As per the West Hawaii Today article, how can customers get a seuarste meter or reel: pat~aal exemptions to
lower their sewer bills?
My clients wafer consumption ranges between 32,000 anci `0.000 gallons per month. l would asstune more
than 6040 of this amount goes towards irrigation, exterior :leaning and swimming pool requirements.
Another side note; Milton mentioned that if a second mete. v.s allowed for irrigation the facilities charges
would be in the neighborhood of $4000.
Any enlightenment you could give the and my clients woul;t to appreciated.
