Dear Chair Hoffman:
My name is Jun Met, and I am submitting this testimony on behalf of the Hawaii . chef ter
of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP Hawaii). NAIOF' Hawt~ii
is an association of Hawaii property owners, managers, developers, financial instituticas utd real
estate related professionals who are involved in the areas of commercial and industria'. e<:,l1
estate.
As we have expressed in previous testimony to the Council, we have serious cut: ens
about Bili No. 156. Summarizing our concerns, we think this bill will have a negative impact ern
job creation, especia]]y industrial jobs, as the monetary requirements will make it ver}' di'ficua
for anyone to consider creating an industrial park on the Island of Hawaii. The result wil be In
discoumgo investment and job creation in the county, es well as not creating the anticipat ad
revenue for affordable housing,
Per these reasons, wa again encourage the Council not to pass this bill.
