A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women's Hall of Fame
Awards Ceremony is to be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Hilo Waikoloa Village
Waters Edge Ballroom; and
WHEREAS, nominees for the Women's Hall of Fame aze from Hawaii County,
represent all walks of life, aze looked up to as role models, mentor others to move ahead in their
lives, have the spirit of aloha, have a strong moral code of ethics, and have succeeded in areas to
advance the status of women; and
WHEREAS, six women from the Big Island will be honored for being outstanding roles
models in Hawaii County and the name of any woman who deserves recognition can sent to the
Committee on the Status of Women via mail at 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, HI 96720, or via fax at
(808) 961-6553, by September 1, 2007;
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to
the Office of Management to provide financial assistance to the Committee on the Status of
Women, to be used towards the Hall of Fame Awazds Ceremony; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,500
CREDITED TO:
010.111.5115.20 Office of Management $2,500

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Honorable Mayor Harry Kim, the Committee on the Status of Women and
Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary
transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
