Aloha, Members of the Hawaii County Council.
My name is George Martin. As a long-time resident and taxpayer of the County of
Hawaii, it is my opinion that it makes no sense for the County to spend/pay big to
purchase land that is being offered to them for FREE. I cannot see the logic in this;
does the Council believe the taxpayers of the Big Island are so naive?
Furthermore, if the officials that we elect for County and/or State offices make major
decisions based on incomplete surveys, then perhaps government should be changed
and the citizens of Hawaii County should really give deeper thought into who they
vote for when election time comes around
