RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF LOT 6-B, BEING A PORTON OF TAX
MAP KEY: (3)2-2-050:008, SITUATE AT WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO,
COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, FROM EDWARD K. HIRAYAMA AND DIANNE S.
HIRAYAMA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, EDWARD K. HIRAYAMA and DIANNE S. HIRAYAMA, Trustees of the
Edwazd K. Hirayama Revocable Living Trust, aze the owners of Lot 6-B, containing an azea of
500 squaze feet, identified as being a portion of Tax Map Key: (3)2-2-050:008, and situated at
Waiakea, in the District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii (see Exhibit "A" attached);
and
WHEREAS, Edward K. Hirayama and Dianne S. Hirayama have constructed all roadway
improvements within Lot 6-B as required by change of zone Ordinance No. 04-27 to the
satisfaction of the Depaztment of Public Works and the Planning Department; and
WHEREAS, Edwazd K. Hirayama and Dianne S. Hirayama, aze desirous of dedicating
the subject parcel, including all improvements thereon, to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Lot 6-B is in full compliance with the provisions of Chapter 23 of the
Hawaii County Code; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the
council may accept gifts, which include the dedication of land, on behalf of the County of
Hawaii.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the
County of Hawaii accepts Lot 6-B, containing an area of 500 square feet, situate in the District
of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, delineated on the map attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and more specifically identified as being a portion of Tax Map Key: (3)2-2-050:008,
including all improvements thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to: (1) Mayor
Harry Kim; (2) the Department of Public Works; (3) Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald
Takase; and (5) Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hirayama, 135 Terrace Drive, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
