Resolution 285-07 Puna Pause
i am grateful for the opportunity to submit testimony to support Resolution 285-07 to delay any
Council action on up-zoning in the District of Puna until the Puna Community Development Plan is
adopted by ordinance or by September 2008.
As a member on the Natural Resources Working Group, I value the time and effort that was
contributed by all those who joined in the CDP process.
It is my hope that this resolution, when adopted by the County Council, will demonstrate respect for
the countless hours of community participation intended to create an effective community plan,
responsible and managed growth and ensure a certain quality of life in the Puna District.
