Subject: Pass Bill 151 as is
I urge Council to pass Bill 151 on Floodpain Management.
The basis for this Bill has gone through 5 drafts as Bi1151, has been written by an administration "crew"
according to Mr. McClure, is an issue the Administration wants passed according to the Planning
Department, all concerns have been addressed and a 6 month period is given for re-expression and
introduction of amendments, and will reduce premiums for those needing flood insurance by receiving
discounts for having more protection than the minimum required.
It is time to pass this bill in its entirely and not recommend it be further chopped to pieces that provide
no flood protection either by design or through recision of flood insurance..
