Re: Veteran's Cemetery Number Three's Name
Dear Chairman Yagong,
The Disabled American Veteran members in attendance at our
04 Mar 98 monthly meeting after presentation and discussion voted:
1. The title "West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery" is to be the
primary name of the burial grounds known as
Veterans Cemetery #3.
2. The Hawaiian translation of the above title would best
be used as the cemetery's Hawaiiana in recognition
of the place and status on this island.
3. The county road signs reflect the primary title with the
Hawaiiana name placed on the front wall of the
entrance to the cemetery as well as its use within the
burial grounds.
These are our recommendations for your consideration,
