Re: Operating Budget
On August 1, 2007, the County Council adopted Resolution No. 272-07 which transferred
$20,000 from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief account to the Highway Fund for
the installation of two (2) smart signs in Council District 3. The smart signs are needed to
control speeding in both directions on North Kulani Road in Mountain View.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
$20,000 into the Traffic Division Equipment account within the Highway Fund.

A. REQUEST:
Amend Ordinance 07-82, the Operating Budget, by adding an appropriation for Traffic
Miscellaneous Equipment Account, 020.281.5281.06.480, in the amount of $20,000.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
To increase operating budget by $20,000 (Resolution No. 272-07) for the installation for two (2)
smart signs for North Kulani Road in Mountain View, Council District 3.
