RE: A Resolution to Amend Resolution 16-07, Drafr 2 -Temporary Delay of Council
Action on Rezoning Applications in the Districts of North and South Kona.
Transmitted herewith is a Resolution that amends Resolution No. 16-07, Draft 2, previously
adopted by the County Council, for the sole purpose of extending the sunset date referred to in
Resolution No. 16-07, Draft 2, from September 1, 2007 to Mazch 1, 2008. Pursuant to the
provisions of Resolution No. 16-07, Draft 2, extensions of time are allowable in increments of
six (6) month each.

RE: Resolution No. 320-07 Amendipg Resolution No. 16-07, Drafr 2, by
Extending the Temporarily Delay of Council Action on Rezoning Applications in
the Districts of North and South Kona Until the North and South Kona
Community Development Plan is Adopted by Ordinance, or until March 1, 2008,
Whichever Shall Occur First.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Planning to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Planning for placement on its future agenda.
