Honorable Pete Hoffmann, Chairman and Members of the County Council Hawaii County Council 25 Aupuni Street - Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members: Please find enclosed, for the Hawaii County Council's review and consideration, a bill to repeal Chapter 2, Article 8 of the Hawaii County Code and replace it with language that would establish a Sustainability Action Committee to advise the Department of Research and Development. If approved, this bill would replace an outdated ordinance with a current and relevant vehicle to guide the department within a framework of sustainability.
