RESOLUTION NO. 323 07
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, there will be a Halloween program at the Pu`u`eo Community Center,
which will provide youngsters with a safe place to enjoy the evening, and will include games,
light refreshments, trick or treat goodie bags, entertainment, and other activities; and
WHEREAS, the programs and events conducted at the Pu`u`eo Community Center
are enjoyed by members of the Pu`u`eo community, as well as members of the general public;
and it is anticipated that this program will attract many families from Pu`u`eo and the
surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, the Pu`u`eo Community Center is in need of additional equipment and
supplies for the event, including tables, chairs, tents for protection from the elements for the
outdoor activities, as well as games and other items; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation agrees that the purchase of these
items will also enhance the ongoing activities and services that Pu`u`eo Community Center
provides to the community and the general public; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated
to the Department of Parks & Recreation to be used towards the Halloween program; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
