RESOLUTION NO. 326 07
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, at the urging of the United Young Buddhist Association, on
April 19, 2007, Governor Linda Lingle signed into effect legislation declaring
September 21, 2007 as "Peace Day" in our State; and
WHEREAS, the United Nations has celebrated Peace Day since 1982; and
WHEREAS, Hawaii is the only state to have proclaimed an official Peace Day for
2007: and
WHEREAS, the Honoka`a Hongwanji Buddhist Temple is sponsoring "The Parade
for the United Nations International Day of Peace" on Sunday, September 23, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated
to the Department of Reseazch and Development to support the "Peace Day" Parade; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director of Finance and that
the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance
with the terms of this resolution.
