Re: Operating Budget
The Coqui Frog Working Group, with the County of Hawaii as the lead agency, is
organizing the First International Conference on the Coqui Frog, to be held on February
7-9, 2008 in Waikoloa. The main objectives of this conference are the sharing of
information and ideas with people working with Coqui frogs and other invasive
amphibians, to establish professional relationships with world renowned experts, and to
provide our island community with access to the latest research efforts and information.
The Coqui Frog Working Group will charge registration fees to the attendees to defray
the cost of the conference.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
$30,000 for the collected fees and for the disbursements for the facility use, the cost of
meals, and other conference expenses.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Management.
