The original deadline to adopt rules and revisions was <br /> September 30, 2007, but now is November 30, 2007 with their approval. <br /> Various public meetings during the past several weeks have generated many concerns of <br /> insufficient time to review and provide both verbal and written comments to address different <br /> versions of the above bills, especially by the professional design communities as well as the <br /> affordable housing entities. <br /> Accordingly, we respectfully request the County Council to defer action on both bills to enable <br /> Public Works and other appropriate County Departments to receive additional input and <br /> comments that may result in reaching common grounds of understanding by further discussions. <br /> Our request for deferral, if approved, would allow Public Works to conduct meetings with <br /> interested parties during September and October and, hopefully, achieve a reasonable <br /> understanding enabling all parties to move ahead. <br /> We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss with appropriate parties, once more, the <br /> significant issues contained in both of the above bills.
