SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT -BUS STOP LOCATION ON
KAMEHAMEHA AVENUE NEAR KALAKAUA STREET
This code amendment establishes a new bus stop location along Kamehameha Avenue, west
side, beginning from a point sixty feet south of Kalakaua Street extending fifty feet in the
southerly direction for a limited time from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on school days.
This bus loading zone is being provided to reduce congestion along the parking lot mauka of
Kamehameha Avenue during the afternoon when the Connections New Century Public Charter
School buses are loading students for their homeward journey. Since parking is a premium, this
zone will only operate for one hour on school days.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you
