Greetings,
Because the Planning Commission is made up of citizen volunteers, and because I understand
there are so many matters to consider that they must meet twice per month, I believe the
present Commission is unduly overloaded. I commend the Planning Commissioners for their
dedication to County government, by donating so much of their personal time to the
issues. Mahalo.
It seems that the workload could be cut in half by having two boards, although I am
concerned whether there will be enough people to fill
them. To that end, I would suggest a clause in the bill (2 have not
read yet) to include a contingency plan in the event an issue is heard so many times,
without a quorum, to the possibility of having only one board, or a combined board, to
cover such an emergency.
