Very respectfully I ask: Do you? Living on Hawaii Island is becoming more difficult day by day. Average families are being priced out of their homes and communities. We are an emerging and burgeoning society. We are the last bastion of economic feasibility in the State of Hawaii . How much of Hawaii is left if all her people are forced out? Walmart, Home Depot, Costco, and other large retailers like them aze what keep most families surviving here. Many low income to high middle income families depend on and would benefit from these larger stores. Smaller companies and "mom & pop" stores can embrace the competition by truly meeting the individualistic needs of their consumer customers. They must however make the effort to find that niche. Specialty stores that evolve with society and keep their fingers on the pulse can and will prosper. Walmart, Home Depot, and Costco has improved the quality of my family's life. We are not recipients of any type of Social Service or Charity. We are the "working poor of America "and we appreciate and need the larger retailers! Thank you for your time and consideration.
