Aloha Councilman Hoffmann,
I am enclosing a copy of the new film we have produced about Punalu' u, t
entitled the "PUNALU'U EXPERIENCE." This 25 minute DVD demonstrates
the importance of protecting this sacred place. It explores the central issues
why Punalu'u is one of the most important places in Hawai i to protect and why
the passage of Resolution 169-07 is essential in protecting this fragile eco-
system. .4..
A DVD of this film will be given to every public school and library in the state,
thanks to a generous grant from the Hawaii Community Foundation who shares
your concern for the protection of these sacred lands. It will also be airing on Po aox a~z
Public Television throughout the U.S. NP: ALE"u
