Dear Ms. Oshiro:
The purpose of this letter is to enlist your help to satisfy the Wireless Enhanced 911
Boazd's fiduciary responsibilities asoverseers of the Wireless Enhanced 911 fund. As
recipients of reimbursements for various PSAP hardware, softwaze, and service purchases
to provide wireless E-911 capability to your county, we are required to audit the
disbursements the Boazd has authorized to your county to provide assurances that:
1. The hazdwaze, software, and services were procured according to your county's
procurement policy.
2. The hazdwaze and softwaze is properly indentified as an active part of the PSAP
inventory.
In order to facilitate this process, we aze requesting that as a part of your annual county
independent audit, you request an "additional agreed upon procedure" from the
independent auditor to provide us with the necessary assurance as listed above. The
Boazd is also prepared to reimburse your county for the incremental cost of this audit or
any portion thereof, specifically related to the items listed above. Please also be advised
that any unsatisfactory result emanating from the audit must be corrected before future
reimbursements will be authorized.
