SUBJECT: Bill 168, Proposed Floor Amendment.
This is to propose an amendment to Bill 168, relating to establishing a sustainability action
committee to advise the Department of Research and Development.
Specifically, the proposed amendment is to SECTION 2 of Bill 168, section 2-37 (c), and will
read as follows:
"...(c.) The members shall be broadly representative ~ a°°
of the county
rt^~w ua,. c^...,. ua,. °~a n..~.. ..~a v°<..~ )and shall be selected on the basis of their
knowledge, expertise, proven innovative and technical skills and ability to network and
source cutting edge technologies, with interests in one or more of the following areas:
agriculture, business, energy, tourism, community, economics, planning, architectural
design, community facilitation and Hawaiian culture."
Also, section 2-38 and section 2-39 of Bill 168 should not have been numbered. These sections
will now read as follows:
"Section 2- Duties of the committee..."
"Section 2 - Guidelines for committee recommendations..."
Should Bill 168 become an Ordinance, the Reviser of Ordinances will number these sections
appropriately.
