Dear Councilman Tyler:
As a lifelong pet lover and owner, the welfare of the dogs, cats and other
animals on the island of Hawaii is one of my prime concerns.
Therefore, for a number of years I have been a contributor to, and volun-
teer in support of, the Hawaii Island Humane Society. I have found the orga-
nization to be a fine one, with humane treatment of animals its sole agenda.
I recently was invited to join its board of directors, and I said yes.
I will be proud to serve as one of the members of this all-volunteer board
which works so hard for, and has such compassion for, the animals and
people of our County of Hawaii.
Please give your utmost support to the Hawaii Island Humane Society.
Thank you for your concern about the welfare of our island's animals.
