Home My WebLink AboutRES 362 Draft 01 2006-2008 ~ COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 362 U'~ RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF REAL PROPERTY, BEING A PORTION OF TAX MAP KEY: (3)2-4-010:020, SITUATE AT WAIAKEA, IN THE DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, FROM YASUKO ONISHI AND DENNIS ONISHI. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. WHEREAS, Yasuko Onishi, aka Lilinoe Yasuko Onishi, and Dennis Onishi aze the owners of a parcel of land, containing an area of 3,616 square feet, more or less, being a portion of Tax Map Key: (3)2-4-010:020, situate at Waiakea, in the District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, Yasuko Onishi and Dennis Onishi aze desirous of donating the subject parcel of land to the County of Hawaii which was recently paved for the widening of Kahaopea Street along their frontage; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the Council may accept gifts, which include the donation of real property on behalf of the County of Hawaii. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts the donation of the road lot consisting of 3,616 square feet, more or less, described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, and situate at Waiakea, County and State of Hawaii, from Yasuko Onishi and Dennis Onishi, in fee simple, for road widening purposes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Yasuko Onishi and Dennis Onishi. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to: (1) Mayor Harry Kim; (2) the Department of Public Works; (3) Deputy Corporation Counsel Craig Masuda; and (4) Yasuko Onishi and Dennis Onishi, 99 West Kahaopea Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
