Dear Curtis:
It was wonderful seeing you the other day and Ed asked me to send my
regards next time we spoke.
I am writing you to support the application of the Hawaii Island Humane
Society. I have had a long association with the Hawaii Island Humane Society
both as an individual and as Executive Director of the West Hawaii AIDS
Foundation.
As an individual, I am appreciative of the fine work that Lisa Fowler and
her staff provide to cur community. !recently lost my o~r~n dog and through their
fine efforts I was able to locate this important member of my family.
Here at WHAF we have benefited greatly by the donation of excess dog
and cat food to our food bank. Many of our client who are affected by HIV/AIDS
are on limited incomes and take solace from their pets. The availability of pet
food at no cost makes a great difference in their lives.
